Bad Chuck and the Bad Dreams

Bad Chuck and the Bad Dreams is a 4-piece indie bluegrass outfit based out of Kansas City. After releasing lo-fi solo debut album BAD DREAMS in 2024, Bad Chuck (nom de theatre of Charles Buck) follows it up with full-fledged, full-band effort EXISTENTIAL FOLK in 2026 - replete with punk-rooted acoustic drive, haunting harmonies, and impressionistic lyrics steeped in the philosophical traditions of Nietzsche, Kierkegaard and Camus. Mixing equal parts bluegrass instrumentation and metaphysical angst, EXISTENTIAL FOLK is an album about life, death, love, obsolescence and the absurdity of the human experience.
